In June 2024 we completed the installation of our water filtration and reverse osmosis plant. The system is providing us with high quality , very clean drinking water.
Having renewed the water fittings in the showers, sinks and the kitchen, it was clear we had to do something with the quality of the water we were using on site.
We conducted some water quality tests and also found a good source of fresh water approximately 25 metres below the ground adjacent to our “power building”. After a series of discussions with a local supplier we upgraded the existing water tower to a small building that could house a new filtration system. Then we purchased an ultra filtration and reverse osmosis system that provides high quality water.
In addition we dug a borhole to access the underground water and installed a solar powered pump. The system now provides high quality (actually mineral water quality according to international standards) water for all to use. So if you want to shower in mineral water you need to visit Larchfield!!
