Larchfield is an official NGO in Tanzania. Its purpose is to serve as a safe and secure refuge for young children in a particular district in Tanzania (Mkuranga, south of Dar-es-Salaam) whose families have been dislocated and destroyed by HIV and who lack the basic amenities such as shelter, nourishment, care and education. We aim to build and operate a caring environment for these orphans, so they may thrive. At present, there are thousands of children living without access to even a basic level of food and water, security and care. This project began with them in mind.
In Tanzania, many children lose their parents to AIDS and related diseases, leaving them without a home, care, or access to education. Larchfield provides these vulnerable children with a safe, nurturing environment where they are valued, loved, and educated. By supporting Larchfield, donors help give orphans the chance to start life on equal footing, bridging the gap between poverty and opportunity, and making a tangible, lifelong difference.
