Emma Mbaga
Emma, who lives and works in Dar es Salaam is professionally a Corporate Communications Consultant and an entrepreneur. Her passion is in community service work. She is driven by the need to do something in her community to make it a better place for her fellow countrymen, women and children.
She does most of her community work through Rotary as a member of Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam North that she joined in 2012. Through Rotary she has participated in various community projects being a core member of an organizing committee of Rotary Dar Marathon, the biggest athletic event in Dar es Salaam which brings together thousands of participants together to raise funds for various community initiatives which include planting over 20,000 trees, providing clean drinking water to over 20 primary schools, building a paediatric oncology ward and supporting the biggest disability hospital in Tanzania – CCBRT.
Emma is also a board member of another community based NGO which works with youths who live in dangerous environment and assisting with education for young children called NVRF, based in Dar es Salaam.
Emma comes from a family of 3 siblings with parents who are both Tanzanian. She enjoys travelling, music and cooking.
